Hello, If you are reading this you may be one of the 300,000 people who have already responded to the Scottish See: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/topics/a-national-conversation This is a conversation for the whole of Scotland and is inclusive of all shades of opinion. The Government may or may not agree with your opinion but it will defend your right to hold it. That is the essence of democracy and the wider the discussion the better it promises to be. We are now launching the second phase of the conversation by encouraging civic Scotland to make its views known: This not only involves the great institutions of Scotland like the Universities, Churches, Voluntary Sector and Trade Unions but also involves Community Councils, youth groups, schools, Women’s Institutes, Student Union, local churches etc…any group that contributes to the local community and the nation. I would encourage everybody in Glasgow to get involved and I am happy to meet with any groups that want to chat about the conversation. Best wishes Bob |
