Born: Vale of Leven, 11 May 1973

Education: MA (social science), Glasgow University & PGCE Secondary (History and Modern Studies), St Andrew’s College, Bearsden.

Career: History and Modern Studies teacher from 1995 until being elected.

Current offices: Convener Maryhill North SNP

Committee membership: Local Government and Communities, Standards and Public Appointments (substitute)

Cross Party Groups: Bob is Convener of the Cross Party Group (CPG) on Racial Equality in Scotland as well as being a member of the CPG on Carers and the CPG on housing.

Bob is also a member of the EIS.

Political career: Elected to the Scottish Parliament 2007
Convener Glasgow Regional Association SNP 2003-2007

Political interests: Championing Scottish Independence:  Kinship Care:  Good quality affordable and social rented housing:  Job creation and anti- poverty initiatives;  Community safety.

Leisure interests: Football, pool and good food.
