Clydebridge expansion points to bright future for Cambuslang steelworks

Following the announcement that Corus are to invest £8 million in their steelwork sites at Motherwell and Cambuslang, SNP MSP Bob Doris and local SNP Councillor for Cambuslang, Clare McColl, visited the site on Friday of last week  (Friday 27 August)  to see the expansion plans for themselves. The firm have announced the creation of 49 jobs at Clydebridge with further jobs anticipated as steel demand increases over the next few years.

Gray challenged on Labour tax plans

Labour are planning to punish pensioners for their economic mess said Glasgow MSP Bob Dories as he questioned Labour leader Iain Gray on his plans to push up council tax bills.

SNP MSP Bob Doris, Deputy Convener of the Scottish Parliament’s Local Government Committee today called on Labour to be honest with the public and say how much they want to raise council tax by.

Gray backs plans for Council Tax rise

Labour's plan for a smash and grab raid on the public pockets to pay for their cuts to public spending has been revealed after Labour leader Iain Gray backed moves by the Labour leader of Glasgow City Council to put council tax up and get the money for a council tax freeze.
